Intended to increase home-grown collaborations across different arts and cultural disciplines, develop local cultural capacity and partner the festival with key local cultural institutions, the event featured a photography exhibition, live music by mod-joikers Fjellfolk, improv. performance and a live recording session with Norwegian jazz-metal band OKAVANGO. More than 15 million people on every continent have viewed different arrangements of Hard Rain in principal cities, at universities around the world, and at the United Nations headquarters. Based in and around the city of Arendal, a hallmark of this festival is the staging of concerts and performances in unique or historical settings. 80’s Street was a pop-up event taking place in the historical&nbsp; Lindvedske House and featuring nationally acclaimed DJs, an open studio space and a poetry slam stage. I worked with the producer and artists to transform the bare-bones venue, developing and delivering the venue fit-out. I provided local support to the director, and coordinated a mentorship program for local, emerging filmmakers, each paired with a professional film crew from Oslo. I engaged three artists to design and produce a 4m mandala -from all natural materials and assembled over the course of five days of the festival. One such venue is the Lille Torungen Lighthouse, a short boat-ride from town.
